Tine Moberg-Parker

Tine was the second PSST coach. Without her, there would be no PSST. She adopted our program and sailors early on, helping us get off the ground while we found a local coach. We have been sailing with her and WVYC since 2021. Her dedication to the sport and education is unmatched and always appreciated by our sailors. Her team feels like our extended Canadian family, and we will always be grateful for her.

Tine is originally from Norway and is a former Olympic sailor (Atlanta 1996). When she is not sailing, she is a former middle school principal and now serves as a BC education administrator. She understands young kids of all types and has a remarkable ability to motivate and inspire their growth.

Tine is the head Opti Coach at West Vancouver Yacht Club (WVYC), where she runs a program with over 40 Opti sailors. In addition to competing in the Opti Worlds as a sailor, Tine has also coached more than 15 teams at international IODA events. She has been coaching Optimist and ILCA sailors for decades and is one of the most recognized coaches in Canada and around the world.
