Jesiel Paredes

We have been sailing with Jesiel since 2022, when we began traveling to Mexico. Jesiel coached Seb at the 2024 IODA North American Championship. He is the high-performance Opti coach at Club Nautico Valle de Bravo (CNVB), a lake located just outside Mexico City.  

Jesiel started sailing Optis at an early age and qualified for multiple IODA events as an Optimist sailor. As an ILCA sailor, he competed on the international circuit and represented Mexico in several international events. He holds a bachelor's degree in physiotherapy and a master's in Sports Management.  

As a coach, Jesiel has consistently placed sailors on the Mexican national team since 2022, including those competing in World, European, North American, and South American Championships. He also coached the Mexican National Team at the IODA North American Championship in Antigua in 2023 and in Puerto Rico in 2024. Remarkably, 4 out of the 5 athletes he coached attended the IODA World Championship in 2023.
