Hanne Weaver

Hanne was our first coach when the team started in the Fall of 2022. She coached the team through our first Fall and Winter and traveled with them to their first Pumpkin Bowl at WVYC. That Spring Hanne was accepted to Firefighting school and became a Firefighter. Her schedule is not as easy as before, but we are looking forward to seeing more of Hanne as we grow our program into ILCA.

Hanne is a world-class sailor and one of the most decorated sailors in the Pacific Northwest. She won her first Singlehanded Junior Championship in 2012 (it was her third national race to date) and went on to earn 3rd place at the 2016 Olympic Team Trials for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro sailing a Laser Radial. She also won the US Singlehanded Women's National Championship back-to-back in 2017 and 2018 and took 2nd place at the 2020 Olympic Team Trials to be held in Tokyo.
